Apesar do post no absolutepunk.net e a fonte americana, Ryan Mendez desmentiu a seguinte notícia:

We’ve received several reports that Ryan Key from Yellowcard announced at their recent show in Utah on Sept. 30 that they will be writing new songs and have been working through their hiatus. Take this news with a grain of salt.

Traduzindo, ela diz que segundo várias fontes, RK do YC teria anunciado no show de Utah em que a banda está compondo novas músicas e trabalhando durante o hiatus.

Mendez comentou sobre a notícia:

sorry guys, but that was never said.

Ou:

desculpa gente, mas isso nunca foi dito.

Quando contestado por um fã se essas palavras foram só se referiram ao Ryan Key (que só ele estaria escrevendo e trabalhando durante o hiatus), Mendez disse:

what im saying is that “they will be writing new songs and have been working through their hiatus” was never said.

Ou:

o que eu quero dizer é “eles estão escrevendo novas músicas e têm trabalhado durante o hiatus” nunca foi dito.

É, pois é…
